After the Storm

After the Storm is an original,A3 mixed media piece on birch ply created from acrylics and found photographic imagery which is ready to hang.It explores the contrast between the enduring solidity of the land and the restless movement of the sea. The visible torn edges are left intentionally exposed, allowing the process of creation to remain part of the image,reinforcing the energy and motion of the waves.The piece reflects both the physical landscape and emotional atmosphere of the piece. Although the sea remains unsettled and the sky is still heavy with cloud, light is beginning to emerge. The storm itself is absent, but its presence is felt in the churning water and drama of the weather.The work captures a moment of transition—between turbulence and calm, darkness and light, uncertainty and renewal.
